Choosing a boarding facility is about finding the environment that fits your dog, not finding the one with the loudest marketing. We have written these guides to help local owners compare care styles, facilities and services, and to lay out the questions worth asking anywhere you are considering, including here.
A word on how these are written. We only state things about other businesses that we can verify from their own published information or public listings, and where we cannot verify something we say so rather than guessing. We also include a section on each page about who might reasonably prefer the other business, because sometimes that is the honest answer and you deserve to hear it before you book, not after.
Where a business publishes its own rates, we compare them directly. Where they do not, we say so and point you at their phone number rather than estimating. We also flag the things that change a total quietly: deposits, minimum stays and holiday surcharges. Woodlands has none of those, which is easy to say and easy to check on our rates page.

This single answer tells you most of what you need to know about the environment. At Woodlands the answer is no: dogs are grouped only with their own household, never with dogs from other families.
There is a real difference between a person sleeping on site, a person on call, and cameras alone. At Woodlands a caretaker is on site overnight, with motion‑activated cameras throughout.
Any facility comfortable with its space will let you walk through it. We welcome tours, and you can also see the suites and yards in photos first.
