Dog Boarding in St. Marys, Georgia

Private suites on a quiet wooded lakefront · From $45 per night

Woodlands Pet Retreat is a small boarding facility on a quiet wooded lakefront in St. Marys. Dogs stay in private indoor suites, go out through the day for breaks and play, and are cared for by the same people every visit. Because the facility is small, each dog gets individual attention rather than moving through a busy kennel line.

Overnight accommodations

Two suite sizes, both private, both including everything a comfortable night needs.

Basic Suite

$45 per night

A private 4′×6′ or 3′×6′ suite with comfortable bedding, fresh water, scheduled feeding and regular outdoor breaks. A good fit for most small and medium dogs, and for dogs who like a cosier space.

Deluxe Suite

$65 per night

Our largest suite at 5′×6′, with a deluxe bed and more room to stretch out. Everything included in a Basic stay, with extra space for larger dogs or dogs who simply prefer room to move.

Dogs from the same family can share a suite. Each additional dog in the same room is $20 per night. See the full rate sheet for packages and add‑ons.

What a normal stay looks like

1

Arrival and settling in

You drop off during one of our three daily windows. We go over feeding, medications and anything specific about your dog's routine, then get them settled into their suite with their own bedding and belongings.

2

Breaks, play and rest

Dogs go out through the day for potty breaks and time in the secure fenced yard. Play is one‑on‑one or with their own family only. Between breaks they rest in their suite, which keeps the whole building calmer than an open‑kennel setup.

3

Feeding on their schedule

Bring your dog's own food and we feed on their normal schedule, which avoids the stomach upset that comes with switching food during a stay. Bowls, portions and timing follow whatever you tell us at drop‑off.

4

Overnight

A caretaker is always on site, including overnight, and the building has motion‑activated cameras throughout so we can check in and respond quickly if anything needs attention.

5

Going home

Pick up during any of the daily windows. If you have added a departure bath or a groom through Chien d'amour, your dog goes home clean.

Care details worth knowing

Staying in touch

Add a daily photo update for $5 per day and we send photos by text or email. The Gingr Pet Parent app (facility code 582844) also keeps your booking and your dog's records in one place.

Medications

We are glad to give medications during a stay. There is a $2 administration fee. Please send medication with clear dosing instructions.

What to bring

Their food and food dishes, bed, blankets, toys and treats. Anything that helps your dog feel at home is welcome, within reason. If their routine is unusual, contact us ahead of time and we will work it out.

Vaccinations

Rabies, bordetella and DHLPP need to be current. Have records ready when you book, or ask your vet to send them over.

Multiple dogs

Dogs from the same household can share a suite for $20 per additional dog per night. Dogs from different families are never grouped together.

Longer stays

For extended trips, the 5‑day and 10‑day packages bring the nightly cost down. Add walks, play sessions or a departure bath to keep longer stays interesting. Compare packages.

Safety

Fenced outdoor areas, private suites, on‑site care overnight and motion‑activated cameras. Woodlands is also an insured pet‑care business. Take a look at the facility.

Emergencies

In an emergency your dog goes straight to Robinson's Animal Hospital in Yulee and we contact you as soon as possible.

Drop‑off and pickup

Three windows every day, so you can work around flights and work schedules:

There are no deposits and no cancellation fees. Plans change, and we would rather you tell us than worry about a penalty.

Boarding questions

How far ahead should I book?

As early as you can for holidays, spring break and summer. Outside those periods there is usually more flexibility, but the facility is small so space is genuinely limited.

Can my two dogs stay in the same suite?

Yes. Dogs from the same family can share, and each additional dog in the suite is $20 per night.

Will my dog be around unfamiliar dogs?

No. This is a one‑on‑one structured facility. Dogs are grouped only with their own family and are never mixed with dogs from other households.

Do you need vaccination records before the first stay?

Yes, rabies, bordetella and DHLPP. You can upload them to your Gingr profile or have your vet email them.

Can I see the facility before booking?

Of course. Call or text (912) 674‑4709 or email woodlandspetretreat@gmail.com to arrange a tour.

Ready to book their stay?

Suites fill up around holidays and school breaks. Reserve your dates early.
